| One of the most well liked musicals to hit Broadway over the last few years in Jersey Boys. It is a superb show, and one that will entertain the family. It is bright, cheerful and a large amount of fun. The music is marvelous - you could end up dancing in the aisles. Jersey Boys is one of the most entertaining and unusual shows you will ever see, which is indeed saying a lot when you consider that I normally find musicals ordinary and tedious and typically see them as a collection of silly songs strung together by flimsy storylines. I was extremely avid to see Jersey Boys because I knew I liked the music, which is brilliant, and knew a little about the area it is set in and a bit about the 4 seasons. Their private likenesses are doubtless more clear to most than their differences, but how they came together against amazing percentages to become a music sensation is really rather amazing. You probably know that this is a musical about The 4 Seasons, one of the most well liked rock and roll bands of the 1960s. The musical's focus is The 4 Seasons' lead frontman, Frankie Valli. However, it's his interplay with Tommy DeVito, the group's original driving force, and song composer, Bobby Gaudio, that makes the group's story so compelling. You may pick up some fascinating trivialities about the group, for example which current Hollywood star actually introduced two key members of the group, how "Sherry," the group's first massive hit came into being, and which big time movie star inspired the track "Big Girls Don't Cry." do you know that the group fought world to record a song that was to turned into one of Frankie Valli's biggest solo hits from the late 1960s? Many of their songs and other preferred songs of the time are performed in the show. Jersey Boys gives an insight into how town kids got raised in the 1950s and 1960s and what it was like to smash into the rock and roll business in those days. Whether you got raised in Jersey Boys New York or New Jersey in those days or wonder what it must have been like, you will be wanting to see this show. It's totally terrific. Jersey Boysis based on a very entertaining book by Marshall Brickman and Rick Elice and premiered at the LaJolla Theatre in LaJolla, California. The show is playing all over the world including Broadway, Chicago, London, Melbourne and Toronto to name a few. Jersey Boys won the Tony Award in 2006 for best musical, and has been a favorite for theater goers since it's release. It has run a close second to Wicked. And it is not surprising - it is such a fantastic and fun show. Take the the likelihood to see this show and grab some Jersey Boys discount tickets from an an overwhelming online retailer. . | |
